Manly Journals

I needed to make some manly type journals. I really like the way these turned out. I used various files from www.svgcuts.com. I will be bringing these journals to the Cancer Center to give to cancer patients.

Journals of Love for Cancer Patients

I am so excited to share this wonderful new with you all. I recently called my local cancer center to talk to them about donating journals to the cancer patients. They were so thrilled and thought this was a wonderful idea. I have a meeting with the doctor and the marketing team Thursday. I am busy making some journals and cards to bring with me. Here are two that I made tonight.

This first journal I used items that I received from various SWAPS I have been a part of in the past. I have a box full of my wonderful treasures from fellow crafters. I decided what better way to showcase their wonderful art. I am sooo sorry to the ones that made these embellishments I forgot to add you names with the pieces. If it is yours please let me know so I can give you the proper credit.

The hummingbird journal is made using various files from www.svgcuts.com. The hummingbird is a free svg file on their blog, www.svgcuts.com/blog.
The cute shaplies are from www.pennyduncancreations.blgospot.com

If you would like to join me in this wonderful cause you can email me at celeste@touchedbyabutterfly.com and I can give you my address and you can send journals to me to distribute to my cancer center or make some journals yourself and deliver to a cancer center in your area….
A special thanks goes out to my wonderful friend Shirley Nagel. She is the on that started Journals of Love…

Pat,  (Yolie’s) mother-in-law, always schedules her mammo in June. I wanted to make my project for her. I made this beautiful journal so she can write down her appointments and her thoughts and just to have a place to write when she is feeling down. I used various SVG files from http://www.svgcuts.com/. The beautiful butterflies are from my wonderful friend Penny at http://www.pennyduncancreations.blogspot.com/. She sells them in her ETSY store.

Here’s the printable image Yolie created and I’m sharing it with you all. Please click on the image and then right click to save the PNG file.

Pay It Forward

I found the this post over at Yolie’s blog www.justyolie.com and decided to join another Pay It Forward. Here's how it works:

"Pay It Forward" is the idea of blessing someone with a random act of kindness without expecting anything in return. It’s passing on a kindness, hoping that your recipients will do the same, and forming a never-ending chain of goodwill. But it isn’t only kindness, it is also a means to connect and share.

"I promise to send an original creation to the (1st) 5 people who leave a comment here. They must, in turn, post this on their blog, and send something they make to the 1st 5 people who comment."

Here's what you need to do:

1. Leave a comment on this post. I will send a handmade gift to the first 5 commenters.

2. Create a post on your blog offering the same.

3. Send a handmade item to your first 5 commenters.

4. It must be sent to your 5 people by end of the year.

Please do not sign up unless you are fully committed to making your 5 items!
