I wanted to share with you this lovely note form Yolie.....
I have to say that this has been the most emotional and greatest moment of my life. I couldn't ask for anyone better to share this journey with......
"It started with an idea of hosting a blog hop, but instead I realized it would be best to host a linking party; an opportunity for all to share their pink projects, share their stories, build a strong community and most importantly bring awareness to breast cancer. I could not do it alone, when I brought this idea to my dear friend, Celeste, she immediately responded, “Let’s do it”. Thank you for being such a great friend and cheerleader! Soon after, I mentioned our plans to Gaby; she also wanted to help us out, thank you Gaby for you contribution this year!
As we all know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, but it should not start or end in October, we should always be aware. Remember to do your self-breast exams, send reminder cards to your friends to get their mammos, and accompany a friend to their appointment. Somehow, some way we have known someone who has battled this terrible disease; some have fought a good fight, but unfortunately, some lost the battle. We lost my brother-in-law Kevin, Dulce’s daddy to cancer. My husband lost his grandmother to breast cancer and his Mom, my mother-in-law, Pat is fighting it and currently winning! She had a birthday this month; she turned 76!
I’m super excited for Link Up for Pink. I visit your blogs and see our LUFP badge and I’m so delighted that you are helping us bring awareness! I have read each comment left on my recent posts and I want to thank you for taking the time to share your stories with me….they have touched my heart.
To our sponsors, thank you for coming through for this event! Thank you for your generous donations!
Link Up for Pink now has a Relay for Life page. I am proud to announce we are one of the three virtual Relay for Life groups and the first ever blog event to be recognized by the American Cancer Society. If you would like to make a monetary donation, please click on the badge below. Thank you to Celeste and Debbi for getting our page up and running so quickly. New and exciting things to come in November with the American Cancer Society.
As we take this journey together, let us take the time to celebrate life, live for today and remember the lives of the women and men no longer with us.
Thank you, Yolie "

Most of us know someone who has had to deal with this disease. My Bestie Yolie's Mother-In-Law, Pat is currently fighting breast cancer. So we, Yolie, Gaby and I, thought it would be a good idea to do our part to raise awareness by hosting the “Link Up For Pink”, linking party. It will be held on October 1st through the 14th on our blogs. Every project linked will be pink themed and there will be lots of opportunities for prizes. More details will be available as the day approaches.
Please help us spread the word by grabbing the code and displaying the button on your sidebar. So please save the date and remember to get your mammograms.
Thank you,
Celeste, Gaby and Yolie
